We had our Graduation Ceremony on Saturday 23/9. Many of us sec 4s were puzzled at the fact that Ceremony will be held in such an early date. I even had another paper to take for my Prelims on the following Monday so it was weird to me. We arrived at the Parade Square at 10am and went to the hall for the Ceremony. Earlier in the week we were given a piece of golden paper to write down our wishes for the coming year and fold it into a star. We were thus given back our stars. As we made our way to the hall, we were greeted by the Sec 3 prefects who were welcoming us. They were actually clapping for us upon our arrival to the hall. It was quite a flattering experience because who in the world would actually clap for your presence? Apparently we had to stick our stars to a Big Cardboard which is also in a shape of a star. We were seated and the day began with an inspiration talk by Mr Darren Tan. I was rather inspired by the way he delivered his speech and he made an impact in me. The next segment was the exchange of presents. All class-chairperson are responsible to prepare a present for their class councellors and vice-versa. It was funny as some of the presents that the students gave were drawings of their teachers, a t-shirt, a bouquet of flowers etc. A video clip was shown to us about our journey in Fajar for the past 3 years. It was rather funny as we got to see how much we had grown for the past years. Finally, a speech was made by two students and our Principle ended the ceremony with her lovely speech. We were dismissed at around 11.30am where lunch was catered to us at the concourse. It wasn't as bad as i expected to be......
