The Movie is about: Steve (Matthew Broderick), a suburban dad and Christmas enthusiast, leads a well-ordered, well-planned, and well-organized life. Apparently, he was in charge of decorating the town for Christmas. He felt the importance of celebrating Christmas together with his family as he wanted to keep the tradition of Christmas since his parents did not celebrate this event. However, things were not going as way when his new neighbor, Buddy (Danny DeVito), Steve's polar opposite: a big personality with big dreams, which have yet to materialize moved in as his neighbour. Buddy's latest dream - to create the biggest holiday light display in the world, visible from outer space - is turning Steve's disciplined world into a chaotic nightmare. Buddy ended up creating a house that was filled with lights that people in the town were interested in. Buddy won the trust of the town folks and took over the job of decording the town for Christmas. Steve, obviously angry by the fact that he was not in charge, tried means and ways to destroy the house. Buddy tried to counter attack but both men ended up loosing the trust and faith of their wives. They decided to stop their childish and selfish attempts and brought their families back. In the end, Buddy's wish of his house being visible around the world came true.
Funny Moments: The part where Steve & Buddy started to bicker and fight over their differences. There is one scene that i will never forget. The part where Steve bought Christmas crackers (especially the one which looks like a small rocket labelled WAR) and wanted to blow up Buddy's house but in the end he ended up blowing part of his fireplace up. That was really hilarous.
Plus Points: The Christmas song remixes and the cute graphics coming from Buddy's house!! Wish that i have that house though....
Those people who should watch: Viewers who enjoy comedy and can't wait for Christmas to come!! I felt really excited for this year's Christmas... A really enjoyable Christmas movie to watch....
