Definitely it was worth the wait... Electrico's LIVE IN NEW WAVE concert was held at the NUS UCC concert hall on friday, 7.30pm. My sister (Hui Min) and I got a ride from my Dad to Clementi MRT station and we took a quick dinner at 6pm. We waited for my sister's friends and made our way to NUS UCC hall. The UCC hall was fantastic and it made me feel that i was in the esplanade. Both my sister and I managed to buy the most expensive tickets ($40.40). My sister actually bought it on the day that the ticket sales started because she said that these tickets (standing right in front) were limited. And true enough, only about 20 plus people filled that big space. It was very pathetic!! Photographers were also situated there. The place was quickly packed and i must say that i was surprised by the response of the public when Electrico announced that this might be their last concert in Singapore before they ventured overseas. Super Illegals was the opening act for Electrico and were trying to warm up the crowd. They performed four songs before Electrico came out. My sis and I quickly went forward and i definetely got the best view of the concert (RIGHT IN FRONT OF DAVID!!).. They were simply awesome and they never fail to get the crowd to stand up and sing along to their songs. The fans were so ethusiatic that they actually climbed over the bar seperating the 20 over person in the standing pit from their seats. But of course they were ushered back to their seats as they did not pay 40 over dollars. The best song was definitely We're not made in the USA!! It was the fans favourite and the song was rocking the whole concert hall. Fans were screaming and singing along to the chorus and it got me jumping. Electricorp was also one of my favourite especially when Dav did the solo.... (ahhhh... the best man.!!) Feverfly was done with more rock which i really like! After the concert, a table was set up outside the concert hall and both the albums were sold there. Many people were eagerly buying the albums ($19), stickers ($1) and badges ( a whooping $2 each where i got 8 of them for free!!!).. Electrico came out and everybody went wild! The queue was long and many of them took photos with them. Siyu also bought Hip City and i was his photographer! We took a group photo and ended our day at a high note!
now you notice i talk a lot!
