We met the commitee members at around the rock climbing area at 5.30pm. There were around 40 plus 50 campus including those who are going for the Hiroshima trip which will be held on June. We were divided into groups and i got to meet my new group members (Artha, Justin, Marie). We immediately clicked as we shared the same interest such as the love for Japan stuff like Jrock/Jpop and anime. I finally found someone who is into YUI as i am and he is also my junior. Artha and I already made plans to go for the Fukouka trip during December just to see YUI's hometown. LOL... Our first activity was to answer 4 questions regarding a country in order to find.. well our dinner. Our group answered all the questions correctly but we came in 2nd but that's okay. After our dinner (we had chicken rice from food court 4), we assembled at the dance studio. Our 2nd activity was to perform a short role play that the commitee had prepared for us. In our case, our scenario was to act out what are the things to prepare if our company sent us to China? We came up with a scene where a teacher is teaching the employers of the company chinese but the catch was he does not know anything. It was really hilarious when we were at the thinking process and i had alot of fun pouring ideas for the role play. The rest of the groups were just as fantastic. Our group came in last though haha so we had to do a punishment... We had to tie our fringe up with a rubber band and dance the chicken dance. After that, we were given ample time to wash up and shower before the briefing began. The commitee members introduced themselves and gave a short presentation as to the experiences that they had while homestaying in Japan as well as their upcoming outbound and inbound trips this year. There were around 4-5 trips to Japan this year including a Korea trip which was lauch just this year so i was having a hard time as to really decide on a place to go. The briefing ended around 11 plus 12 and we were given the option as to whether we would like to sleep or to watch videos. We decided to turn in for the day because the next day's activity would involved alot of running (Amazing Race).

The 2nd day was pretty relax as we woke up at around 8.30am which i considered a luxury. We ate a "Oishii" breakfast.... Doughnuts which Windi (The Membership Secretary) had ordered [See Pic]. I had 2 of those haha.. After that, it was time for our Amazing Race in which we were given a total of 5 hours (Starting time was 10am). Our task was to go to 3 tourists attractions and plan 3 activities for the tourists. We had to take photos and getting the tourists to do the activities that we had planned will score us bonus marks. Our group together with Nurul (one of the leaders who is in charge of the korea sub-division for SPSEC) went on to decide on 3 places : Chinatown, Little India and Lao Pa Sa. We went to Chinatown first and our initial activity was to allow the tourists to wear the traditional clothes such as Qi Pao but unfortunately all the shops that sold traditional clothings restricted us to take photographs. So we had to think of another alternative which is to teach them how to use chopsticks. We met 2 ladies (well probably from England or Britain) and Wan Ling taught them how to use the chopsticks. We headed to our next destination which was Little India and from there we played "Chaptek" with a group of Thais. We spent alot of time at Little India because we wanted to find tourists who were interested in Eyebrow treading but easier said than done. After much searching and talking, we decided to scrap the idea and went along with playing "chaptek". We were getting hungry by the time we left Little India so we decided to have our lunch at Lao Pa Sa as well as to complete our final task: eating together with tourists.

We returned to SP at around 2.30pm, having our mind set prepared that we might be the last group to arrive. But thank God we won't because the punishment was embarrassing. Upon waiting for the last group to arrive, we played a little game where one person from each group was to go up and listen to the song that the commitee plays using the headphones and that person was to sing out that song. The songs that we had to guess were either Chinese, Japanese, Korean or English. The only genre that i was pretty confident in answering was of course, Japanese. I managed to answer 2 songs (Orange Range - Ikenai Taiyou & Arashi - Kitto Daijoubu) which made my day because nobody knew the songs. Korean songs were easily guessed by our leader Nurul as she is a Korean Fanatic! In the end, our group came in 2nd place and the losing group had to do a punishment. Their leader volunteered to represent the group and he was asked to dressed in a Kimono [See pic] and dance a super hilarious dance. We officially break camp at around 5 plus and I really enjoyed myself alot. This is probably one of my favourite camps probably because of my group members!! Love you guys!!! Hope to see you guys in Campus..... and we must go to Japan TOGETHER!!!!!
