So, we touched down at Fukouka Airpot at 8am (Japan Time). We met 2 teachers from the Oita National College of Technology (ONCT) and then we took a cab to Hataka Station.
One thing interesting about the train ride was that half way through the journey, we had to turn our seats the other way because the train will go the opposite direction!!! Second interesting thing was that they do had toilets and pay phones inside the trains... HOW COOL! And like the bullet train, there were people selling food/drinks..
We took a train towards Oita station at 10.30am and arrived at ONCT 2 hours later. We went to the school and we got to meet our home stay host. I immediately recognised my host because I was the only one who had a 19 year old host while the rest were attached to either teachers, male student hosts etc.. My host's name was called Sato Chie. She was really sweet and it was weird conversing in Japanese at first. But after awhile, i got used to it. It was goodbye to the rest of the Oita group as we were separated..

Chie took me to her laboratory where i helped her in translating Japanese to English (for a report).. Around 2 plus, we left the college and Chie drove me back to her house. We ate lunch at this small shop and i ate beef Soba which tasted great and it was my first time eating soba hot with soup.

After that, we went to a shopping mall and along the way i got a chance to talk and know more about her. We went to places like HMV, the arcade, pet shop etc. Chie invited both her friends Maki and Azu. They welcomed me and Maki and I hit off really well because she is a Aiba Masaki Fan. We took neoprints there as well. We sat down and ate some Japanese sweets/snacks. We left the place and Chie drove us home where I met my Otousan and Okasan for the first time. They were really friendly and I had a wonderful dinner (Chicken Karage, Salad, Rice, Apple, Pear)
