The Embassy of Japan and Hosekai organized a Lecture and Demonstration of Tea Ceremony and Tea Ceremony Gathering by OMOTESENKE School on 18th July(Sat). The event was held in the National Museum of Singapore and the lecture was by a renown tea master Ms Yoshiko Takeuchi who had 55 years of experience.
It was my first time stepping inside the National Museum and I was amazed by its beauty and elegance. Together with my club members Sheng Yang, Murray and Zakie, we occupied the first few seats for the 1pm session. We had the chance to experience flower arrangements done by the school as well. The session started with an explanation of the origins of tea ceremony followed by a live demonstration. We also got the opportunity to eat the sweets and drink ocha as well.
