Project Toshokan was on 28 October. It was the first collaboration between our club JCC and the SP library. The objective of Project Toshokan is to help the library to pick up new books. Being one of the lucky few who was selected for this event, I must say it was a great experience. We met up at Kinokuniya Bookstore at 2 plus where we met Mr Heng, the SP librarian. He briefed us about the event and what sort of books to get. There were several restrictions such as the books have to be in english, do not contain any unsuitable graphics or content and that the library does not have them already.We were given a good 2 hours to grab any books that will eventually benefit the library and that we were interested in as well. Being a person who enjoys reading fiction books, I immediately headed to the fiction section and took several popular fiction books such as "Time Traveller's Wife". After that, i headed to other sections such as Fashion, Japanese Culture, Interior Designs, History etc. We had fun grabbing books and stacking them on the trolleys that were provided by Kinokuniya. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience!
